課程概述

重在講解考古學的發展歷史，包括理論的內涵、研究的性質和目的、獲取資料的技術和分析方法等的發展過程。 

課程目標
 這門課程是所有三年級學生的必修課程。
本課程探索從 19 世紀開始至今的考古學的多樣性和不斷變化的性質，涵蓋了考古學作為一門獨立學科的出現、考古學理論與方法的發展過程以及考古學與自然科學、社會科學以及人文科學等同源學科的知識關係。本課程旨在讓學生能瞭解什麼是考古學，促進對 19 世紀以來發展的理論和方法的認識，並提高對考古學理論複雜性的理解，加強對考古學科的參與，進一步發展對考古問題的分析、批判性思考的技能， 以及考古學研究與知識是如何產出的。
 
課程要求
 課堂報告二次（20%）、課堂作業（20%）、期中作業一份（30%）、期末報告（30%）及指定教材和參考資料的閱讀。課堂出席與參與狀況另在總分處理，遲到、請假或無故缺課一律按學校規定處理。
